This weekend, the world will celebrate fathers. Well, I’m not sure if the whole world recognises this day, but I think the bigger part of it does.
So in the spirit of recognition, on top of the biological ones…. may we also dedicate this weekend to the men who’ve had to take on the role on behalf of another who for one reason or another is not present…say passed on or left or somehow just can’t be there. Those that have had to learn to love, provide and groom just the way the biological one would. I don’t know about you, but I think that takes another whole level of selflessness.
They did not have to, they could have chosen not to….but they are doing it.
To these men, and to the biological ones…..and to those doing both, happy fathers’ day. Keep on Keeping on!
